Kate Orton
Kate Orton's approach to creating jewellery begins with observing natural structures, in particular the anatomy and growth patterns of plants. The nature of flameworking means that the subtle variations found in nature can be worked through quickly to build up an encyclopaedia of forms. She takes great delight in the character of a form and its variations, and the different responses to materials and textures that occur when we wear jewellery.
